Impersonating celebrities is nothing new. There are tons of people who even make a residing by impersonating icons like Elvis and Michael Jackson, whereas others simply go viral as a result of their resemblance to celebrities like Ariana Grande.
K-Pop idols are not any exception to this sort of habits from non-idols, and more often than not it’s fairly innocent. There are even tons of make-up tutorials on YouTube that train viewers easy methods to make themselves look extra like sure idols!
But on the subject of BTS‘s Jimin — one of the most beloved idols in South Korea — fans are concerned that some impersonators might be taking it too far.
Most people might first think of Oli London when this topic is discussed, but there are many other people, especially on TikTok, that actually look somewhat similar to Jimin. And also unlike Oli, most of these look-alikes are harmless and just having some fun with their visuals!

A current publish on Reddit by person u/grahamchracker, nevertheless, highlights a few of the extra problematic behaviors that they consider a few of these impersonators have.
For instance, one TikToker went as far as to host his personal “fan meeting” whereas pretending to be Jimin, which is fairly uncommon.

Another allegedly went as far as to recreate Jimin’s Instagram posts to the purpose the place it was, in line with the Redditor, “a littttle creepy”.
They even shared a compilation of those “Jimin look-alikes”, which vary from virtually plausible to… Strange.

Others had lots to say within the feedback on the publish, largely agreeing with the opinion of the unique poster in that these impersonators can take it too far, typically due to feedback they get telling them that they appear to be a sure K-Pop idol.
Whether or not these impersonators are literally doing any hurt, most agree that they’re at the very least cringy!
