There are some columns you simply can’t take again.
In May of 2014, simply in the future after Steve Kerr shared his imaginative and prescient for the Golden State Warriors head teaching job inside a private hangar on the Oklahoma City airport en path to touchdown the job that had been held by Mark Jackson, I shared my confusion together with his hiring by the use of this piece. It was written on my flight out of Oklahoma City, mere hours after Kerr did his shade commentating work for TNT within the Thunder-Clippers West semifinals and days after he came so close to reuniting with Phil Jackson throughout his Knicks tenure.
There was clearly some altitude illness occurring up in these skies that clouded my thoughts as nicely. The story, not like Kerr himself, didn’t age nicely.
Eight seasons later, with three titles and 5 Finals appearances to his title and a title-contending renaissance within the works this season for his 18-3 Warriors, Kerr has already put collectively a training resume for the ages. But what’s his legacy?
