Florida lands 4-star WR Jayden Gibson, conserving key in-state goal residence

Florida added a key piece on offense Wednesday when Jayden Gibson, a four-star vast receiver from West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Fla., dedicated to Dan Mullen and the Gators.

Gibson, ranked No. 170 nationally and the No. 26 receiver within the Class of 2022 within the 247Sports Composite, picked Florida over Auburn, Baylor, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, South Carolina and Tennessee.

The 6-foot-5, 170-pound Gibson is the fifteenth dedication in Florida’s class, which ranks No. 14 within the nation and No. 5 within the SEC. He is the second receiver within the class, becoming a member of four-star Chandler Smith from Orlando.

Florida has had 4 receivers chosen within the NFL Draft the previous two years — Kadarius Toney (first spherical, 2021), Van Jefferson (second spherical, 2020), Freddie Swain (sixth spherical, 2020) and Tyrie Cleveland (seventh spherical, 2020).
